nice typecast, James... I've had a few similar moments recently where the wastage-bulb goes off in the brain, and you look around at all the energy, effort and resources that are wasted every day, and how it slots in with all our lifestyle accoutrements... (love that word ;-))
But lots of small changes in everyday things equate with huge changes in the long run, for everyobody, including the big corporate wasters - so I say: very commendable, sir!
I just mowed my yard last night with a reel mower. It took about an hour and a half. I haven't used my gas-powered motor in a couple years.
It takes about 1.5 to 2 times as long, but I feel like I get better cuts on my lawn and I get a little workout as well, not to mention feeling like I am saving a little of my environment.
